A COMEDY
When four college friends in their sixties discover one of them has been “gifted” an abandoned baby, they must figure out what’s next—for the mother, the baby, and themselves. They learn the child can be adopted, but agencies favor married couples, so two of them decide to get married to remove that barrier. The play features a dream-sequence “dating game,” an on-stage wedding, and ends with the baby receiving her name. A character-driven comedy with some bawdy language and a twist ending, it explores lasting friendship, older female empowerment, and the modern adoption system.
