Access for Persons
with Disabilities

HANDICAPPED ENTRANCE AND SEATING The Old Opera House is accessible with a ramped entry on Liberty Street. This door leads directly into the auditorium, adjacent to the stage. Wheelchairs and walkers can enter this door without having to navigate any stairs. To obtain entry, please have a member of your party come to the box office and one of our ushers will meet you at the handicapped entrance.

The Old Opera House has a limited number of spaces for patrons that cannot transfer out of a wheelchair. If you require special accommodation, please call the Old Opera House box-office at (304) 725-4420 and talk with our staff so we can assist you. Also, please arrive early if you need help with seating.

ASSISTIVE LISTENING DEVICES Assistive Listening Devices are available at the box office and can be used with or without hearing-aids. Please check out an ALD device at the box office before the show begins. If you need assistance, our Sound Engineer, located just inside the auditorium, is happy to help.

RESTROOM FACILITIES There are handicapped restrooms on the main floor, accessible for both wheelchairs and walkers.

GENERAL If you need an accommodation not listed here, please call the OOH Offices at 304-745-4420 or email at ooh@oldoperahouse.org so you will have the best experience during your visit to the theatre.
